How to Send Emails in Gmail: A Quick Step-by-Step Guide

Sending emails in Gmail is straightforward. Follow these steps to compose, format, and send messages from both the web and mobile apps.

1. Open Gmail

  • Web: Go to mail.google.com and sign in.
  • Mobile: Open the Gmail app and sign in if needed.

2. Start a New Message

  • Web: Click the Compose button (top-left).
  • Mobile: Tap the + or pencil icon (bottom-right).

3. Add Recipients

  • To: Enter one or more email addresses separated by commas.
  • Cc: Tap “Cc” to add secondary recipients.
  • Bcc: Tap “Bcc” to send without showing other recipients’ addresses.

4. Write a Subject
