How to Send Emails in Gmail: A Quick Step-by-Step Guide
Sending emails in Gmail is straightforward. Follow these steps to compose, format, and send messages from both the web and mobile apps.
1. Open Gmail
- Web: Go to mail.google.com and sign in.
- Mobile: Open the Gmail app and sign in if needed.
2. Start a New Message
- Web: Click the Compose button (top-left).
- Mobile: Tap the + or pencil icon (bottom-right).
3. Add Recipients
- To: Enter one or more email addresses separated by commas.
- Cc: Tap “Cc” to add secondary recipients.
- Bcc: Tap “Bcc” to send without showing other recipients’ addresses.
4. Write a Subject
- Enter a concise subject line that summarizes the email.
5. Compose the Body
